Winter Red Wine Masterclass

Join us for a guided winter tasting of eight exceptional red wines from around the world, exploring remarkable varieties beyond the usuals.

As much as we love Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Cabernet, there is a whole world of incredible red wines waiting to be discovered.

This winter, join us for a delicious and fascinating masterclass exploring the exciting varieties and styles that sit beyond the usual favourites. These are wines with character, history and personality, from some of the world’s great wine regions.

We will joined by leading wine importers Peter & Tash Johns, who will discuss with us international & local trends along with providing more insights into the wines being presented.

Over the course of the evening, we’ll taste eight outstanding examples from around the globe, including:

  • Barolo, made from Nebbiolo and known as Italy’s “King of Wine”
  • Chianti, showcasing Sangiovese at its authentic best
  • Rich and vibrant Malbec
  • Bright and expressive Gamay
  • Stunning old vine Grenache
  • Plus several other exciting discoveries

Throughout the evening, we’ll unravel the stories behind these wines: their origins, evolution, regional identities and what makes them so compelling in the glass.

This is a masterclass for anyone who loves red wine and wants to explore beyond the familiar. Whether you’re a seasoned enthusiast or simply curious to broaden your palate, you’ll leave with a deeper appreciation of some of the world’s most distinctive and rewarding red wines.
